“Flowery Language”at
Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Artist Jill Leslie Haack will present her newest collection of paintings, “Flowery Language,” in a two-month exhibition at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel, 9801 Natural Bridge Road, from August 1 through September 30, 2026.
An opening Marriott Bonvoy reception will be held on Tuesday,
August 18, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Guests are invited to meet the artist and view the collection.
Jill Haack is a Resident Artist at Mooneyham Art and a Studio Artist at Jacoby both in Alton.
This collection was created in Haack’s new garden studio, the exhibition explores the symbolic language of flowers and celebrates themes of hope, beauty, love, and new beginnings. Through vibrant floral imagery, the paintings encourage viewers to pause, appreciate the beauty around them, and cherish the people who matter most.
“The flowers in my work represent a guiding light of hope,” Haack said. “My wish is that each painting reminds people to embrace beauty, celebrate new beginnings, and never take loved ones for granted. Take time not only to smell the flowers, but to share them.”
Her artwork reflects her passion for nature and her belief that art has the power to inspire hope and human connection.
The exhibition is free and open to hotel guests and visitors during regular hotel hours.

Triangle of Hope

There are some subjects I continually return to paint. The mallard duck, water lilies and frogs are three of these. My first oil painting was of a mallard back when I was in the 2nd grade. (Photo in comments) Both the duck and frog share a strong connection to water and nature, while all three together, form a profound ecosystem representing a journey through life. This is a way of saying we are all living in the same pond. We are all connected in this diverse ecosystem. All three are forming a triangle, which is a symbol of strength, balance and harmony, the "power of three".
